Our Story
GEOKS stands for Geria Olah Kreativitas Seni, a place where creativity, culture, and daily life come together. Bali is known for tourism, and Ubud is deeply rooted in art and spiritual traditions. From this spirit, Umah GEOKS was created.
This is not a hotel, but a Balinese home that welcomes guests into real daily life. Art is part of everyday routines, shaping a meaningful Balinese life experience.
Umah GEOKS is owned by I Putu Budi Santosa, a person deeply dedicated to tourism, especially in Ubud Bali. His vision is to introduce travelers to Balinese culture in an honest and meaningful way. Through this vision, he and his family continue to preserve Balinese traditions that have been passed down through generations from their ancestors.
Around Ubud, guests can take part in purification rituals, watch traditional dance and sound performances, visit art museums, and learn various forms of Balinese art. These activities allow guests to connect with both the creative and spiritual sides of Bali.

He has his own theatre right next to the house where they hold performances. I was lucky enough to be there for a two of them that they filmed for a documentary about the master life and art.
